I am founding editor and editor-in-chief of Spectrum, the award-winning news website on autism research, intended primarily for scientists.
I conceived and launched this website in 2008 for the Simons Foundation, a nonprofit organization based in New York. The website is editorially independent of the foundation, however.
I have full oversight of Spectrum — meaning that I set editorial direction, manage the team, and have top-edited every single article on the site, with the exception of two periods of maternity leave: May-Sept 2009 and Feb-May 2012.
